Brief History:

Mata Mariam Parish was bifurcated from St. Joseph the Worker Church, Berkhera on 19th May 1983. The members are mostly Catholics from Chattisgarh. The grotto of Mata Mariam is declared Archdiocesan shrine by His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Pascal Topno on 2nd September 2005.
