Brief History:
In 1912, the Parish of Nungambakkam was established.It was the residence of Archbishop of Madras, Dr John Aelen. Mill Hill Fathers served in this parish till 1929 and later it came under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Mylapore. Rev Fr R Arulappa who was later the Archbishop of Madras – Mylapore, was the Parish Priest from 1948 to 1953.
About the Church
Theresa Church is a Catholic church under the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore (Chennai-Mylai) in Tamil Nadu, India, in Sembiam division of Perambur, Chennai. Approximately 900 families have the membership in this Catholic parish.
Many people from various parts of Chennai make pilgrimage to this church for the devotion of Infant Jesus.

I have a kind request , can anyone advice the the Evening Mass Choir to allow the people to say the prayer "Our Father" during the mass. Many of us has to remain silent during that time as we cannot join the choir when they Rock or Pop whatever they are doing with the most important prayer. They may think they are the best but kindly ask them to spare " Our Father " and allow us to pray when the priest say so.
