Brief History:
It was the first cradle and Headquarters of the Coimbatore mission till 1850. Even today Pilgrims flock in great number to the shrine on First Saturdays and thousands of people from all parts of Tamilnadu and even from Kerala turn to the shrine during the feast. The Shrine is situated 30 Kms away from Coimbatore City and lies on the road to Salem. Plenty of buses are available from the City and special buses are arranged from Coimbatore by the government on the Feast day.
