1. Hello I wonder if someone can help me. I am trying to find out more about an ancestor of mine Captain John Charles DESMIER (of the country service who I believe died in Calicut about 1830)and his family. Is it possible for me to engage a local person with some knowledge of these matters to look through church records of baptism, marriage and death on my behalf. I would be most grateful if you can pass on any details so that I can negotiate further regarding the extent of research I would like done and what costs would be incurred.
