Brief History:
Periasamypuram had been one of the 25 substations of Vembar since 1873. It is said that a church existed in 1899 and we come to know that the present church was built in the time of Fr. T. Swaminather. Its substation Kalaikuttam (Kalaikoodam, Kalaignanapuram) used to be with the Mission of Vembar.
