Brief History:
This Parish was erected in the year 1954 by the Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore, Most Rev Dr Louis Mathias SDB. Manavala Nagar, Sevvapet and Kanakammachatram Parishes were carved out of this Parish. Infant Jesus Formation House functioned in this Parish from 1989 – 1995.
About the Church
The Madras Presidency, officially called the Presidency of Fort St. George until 1937, later the Madras Province, was an administrative subdivision of the British Raj and later its successor, the Dominion of India.
