Feast Day
Commencing with the flag hoisting on the last Thursday of January, the festival and elaborately decorated Chariot Bhavani takes place on the first Thursday of February. More than 10,000 people attend.
History
The temple was built by the Carmelite monks 50 years ago for Our Lady of Carmel. After 35 years, more than 3000 people come and pray to baby Jesus every Thursday. More than 5000 people come and go on first Thursdays.
