Brief History:
The Holy Mother of Great Lady Shrine, Thiruvidangode, maintains significant historical importance as a site where Saint Thomas the Apostle reportedly established an early Christian presence around 70 AD. The location served as a major Christian centre for centuries under various religious orders including the Jesuits, Franciscans, and Carmelites. The present church building, incorporating Dravidian, Travancore, Mughal, and Gothic architectural elements, was completed in 2012. The parish serves approximately 460 families across 6 associations.
