Brief History:

Saint Loretto Mother Church, Tholayavattam, was established to provide a local place of worship for residents who found it difficult to travel to the distant Ilavvilai parish. After concerted community efforts and contributions, support from the Loretto Foundation USA and the then-parish priest Fr. Aul Devadasan made the project possible. The church was formally consecrated by Bishop Peter Remigius of Kottar Diocese on January 5, 2009, and functions under the administration of Saint Susaiappar Church, Kampilaar, serving approximately 45 families.
