Brief History:

Holy Trinity Church, Panakudi, traces its origins to 1870 when Rev. Fr. Gregory, then parish priest of Vallam Circle, purchased five acres of land to establish a Catholic settlement. Two acres were reserved for the construction of the church, while the remaining three acres were distributed among Christian families who settled in the area. According to local tradition, a wooden cart carrying a statue of St. Joseph came to an unexpected halt at this site, which was interpreted as a divine sign to establish the church there. A modest sanctuary was subsequently built in 1870, and the parish steadily expanded over the following decades. Holy Trinity Church was officially erected as an independent parish on December 5, 2001. Today, the parish serves approximately 1,200 Catholic families across 27 communities and six affiliated chapels. The annual parish feast is celebrated from April 22 to May 1 with liturgical celebrations, processions, and community gatherings.
