Brief History:

The church, located in the small and beautiful village of Avichipatti, stands approximately 39 km from Dindigul. Built roughly 145 years ago, the structure remained undamaged even during Cyclone Gaja. The community has transitioned from primarily agricultural livelihoods to diverse occupations. The village achieved 100% literacy, with most residents completing college education. A 75-year-old government primary school operates within the church compound. The church underwent renovation in 2012. It is a branch parish under St. Peter Church, Nattam, and serves approximately 100 families. The feast is celebrated on December 3rd (St. Francis Xavier) and September (Mother Velankanni).
