Brief History:

Workers from South Tamil Nadu and Kerala employed at the Settinad Cement Factory established a settlement including Catholic families. To address the spiritual needs of these people, the foundation stone was laid on February 2, 1968, by Archbishop Justin Diraviam. The church initially functioned as a branch of Udayapatti Parish under Trichy Diocese before becoming independent. A Marian shrine was constructed and consecrated in 2001. When Dindigul Diocese was established in 2003, this parish came under its jurisdiction. The Missionaries of Mary Immaculate (MMI) now oversee pastoral activities. The church serves 80 families and the feast is celebrated on June 27, 28, and 29.
