Brief History:

Christian families established a long-standing presence in Gopachandram under Mathakondapalli parish jurisdiction. In 1937, land was purchased and a small chapel was constructed to serve their spiritual needs. Under Fr. J. Arokiasamy’s tenure, the old structure was demolished and reconstruction began. Fr. S. Jesudas completed the project, and Bishop Dr. Laurence Bias dedicated the church on January 13, 2014. The community transitioned to Quasi Parish status in 2020, with Fr. Rajappa as initial administrator. Fr. Bosco Madalaimuthu assumed leadership on July 6, 2021. The church serves 17 families and the feast is celebrated on August 23rd.
