Brief History:
The parish developed from a modest thatched chapel in the 1980s serving workers in the Arathti and Kusuvaadi areas. Originally named St. Joseph the Worker Church, it was expanded over decades. Following diocesan approval in 2007, construction began on a larger facility designed to resemble the Lourdes sanctuary in France. Completed in 2015, the church features interior artwork, stained glass windows, and representations of the apostles, crucifixion scenes, nativity, and resurrection themes, dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The church serves 500+ families. The feast is celebrated on May 1st.
