Brief History:

Our Lady of Ransom Church at Annur, Nagamaputhur is a branch parish under Saint Anthony’s Church, Punchai Puliyampatty, in the Erode Deanery of the Coimbatore Diocese. The Annur area was previously under Walipalayam Saint Rayappan Chinnapan parish. With Bishop Ambrose’s approval and through the efforts of Fr. Mary Anthony, a small chapel was established in 2000 at Nagamaputhur. Fr. George Sahayadraj guided the community for 13 years (2003-2016). Following approvals from Bishop Thomas Aquinas and the dedicated efforts of Fr. Felix Anthony, a new church was constructed and consecrated on April 22, 2018. The parish serves 60 families. The feast is celebrated during the third week of September over three days.
