Brief History:
St. Susaiappar Church at Podanur was consecrated in 1902 and elevated to an independent parish in 1904. The church features a beautiful bell tower constructed in 1919, with a bell donated in 1921. The parish serves approximately 1,500 families and 54 pastoral organizations. The church is situated on Podanur Main Road and is one of the significant parishes in the Coimbatore Diocese. The solemn feast is celebrated during the third week of May with a nine-day novena culminating in a grand celebration on the tenth day.
