Brief History:

The parish originated when Catholic families from Mettupatty, a settlement housing 96 villages, relocated to Maruthasiapuram for agricultural pursuits. The community established the foundation stone in 1988-89. Initially serving under Mettupatty Parish, the church became a branch parish when V.C. Crusade Parish was created in 1990. Construction was completed and formally dedicated on July 27, 1998, by Rev. A. Peter John. The church serves 55 families. The celebration features chariot processions and community feasts attracting people regardless of caste or religion. The feast is celebrated on the first Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of Aadi month (July).
