Brief History:

This parish was elevated to independent status in 1972, separated from Varavai. Fr. Amirtharaj, the first parish priest, united the community across social and religious divisions, planting seeds of goodwill. Successive clergy contributed to the parish spiritual and material development. The parish now serves 300 families across 8 mission stations, with a branch church of St. Joseph in Varuvilai.
