Brief History:

Holy Sahaya Matha Church, Enjacaud, was established for five Catholic families who initially travelled to Kulasekharam for worship. Recognising the need for a local church in 1960, families petitioned the parish priest and were granted a chapel. The parish was formally consecrated on June 2, 1968, by Bishop Ancius Swamy with over 100 people baptised during the dedication ceremony. The parish serves approximately 198 families and maintains two affiliated chapels: Holy Assumption Matha Chapel at Ponmanai and St. Anthony’s Chapel at Perunchani.
