Parish Priest – Fr. Stephen Raj SDF.
Church Established – 1898.

Brief History:

This rural sanctuary emerged when a monk named Aseuvadipam arrived in the naturally beautiful Maruthancode region, which was then forested and inhabited by Nair communities. The monk prayer efforts resulted in various miracles and wonders among the local population, drawing believers from surrounding areas. The Nair landowners donated land for church construction, establishing a foundation that grew through missionary work and community devotion over subsequent decades. Elevated to independent parish status in 1997, it now serves 325 families with 10 religious sisters, along with a branch church at St. Amal Church, Amalappuram.
