Brief History:

The parish was established on October 10, 1993, by the Society of the Divine Word (SVD). The church was consecrated on June 6, 1999. The shrine is famous for a sacred healing spring that emerged on September 8, 2001, which pilgrims attribute to miraculous properties. The parish serves 112 families (188 including three branch parishes – Holy Sacrifice of Mary Church in Mariyammal Kulam, Holy Lourdes Church in Alangan Nallur, and Holy Peter and Paul Church in Kuravan Kulam). The feast is celebrated from August 29 (flag hoisting) through September 8-9 (main feast), with flag lowering on September 9.
