Brief History:

This church was established to serve agricultural communities in the Kodaikanal hill region. Jesuit missionaries initially set up a small chapel to meet the spiritual needs of Christian workers employed at nearby coffee plantations. The main church was consecrated on March 8, 1996. The parish became independent in 2004 due to the considerable distance from the original parent parish. The bell tower was elevated in 2017 under current leadership. The church serves 90 families with branch churches including St. Health Mother Church (Manjal Parappu and Vellarikai) and St. Martin Church (Periyur). The feast of St. Anthony is celebrated over seven days centered on June 13.
