Brief History:

Jesus Mary Sacred Heart Church at Seruppalur was established on April 15, 1979, when Fr. Philip Chempakassery offered the first Mass in this scenic village near Asia’s longest bridge. The church initially operated as a palm leaf structure, which was upgraded to a tile-roofed chapel by 1981. The parish is a sharing parish within the Kulasekharam Circuit of the Marthandam Diocese. The church serves 110 families and 4 religious communities through education, healthcare, and spiritual ministries. St. Francis of Assisi Malankara Catholic Church at Peruvazhikadavu is a branch church under this parish. The feast is celebrated in May.
