Brief History:

This church was initially built during 1933-1935 and again in 1942-1943 under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Mathew Thekkadam, parish priest of Christ the King Church, Namakkal, to serve newly converted Christian communities. From 1946 onwards, when Perungurichi Parish became an independent parish, Vadugapalayam functioned as its branch. Following Solasirammani Parish‘s elevation to independent parish status in 2005, the church continued as a branch under that parish. The original structure was demolished and reconstruction began under Rev. Fr. Jnanraj (2015-2018), with completion under current priest Rev. Fr. K. Prasanna, and the church was consecrated on January 15, 2019. The church serves 25 families and celebrates its feast in January in honour of Saint Chinnappar (Saint Paul).
