Brief History:

East Kattur village functioned as a sub-parish of Holy Trinity Church, SPB Colony from 1992. Due to the considerable distance from the main church, parishioners requested local worship services and the community initially gathered in a private home for Mass. Land was acquired and a basic shelter constructed to facilitate regular worship services. With support from donations and dedicated pastoral leadership, the church building was completed and consecrated on August 20, 2002, by the then-Bishop of the Salem Diocese. The parish currently serves approximately 40 families and has become an integral spiritual centre for the local Catholic community.
