Brief History:
This church holds historical significance in South Tamil Nadu’s Catholic heritage. Initially constructed as a small chapel, it expanded in 1998-2001 following community needs. The current structure, completed in 2001, measures approximately 110 feet length, 41 feet width, and 90 feet height with an equally imposing tower. The architectural design symbolizes Mary arriving by ship to calm storms. A miraculous well dedicated to Mary stands nearby. The church serves approximately 200 families as a branch of St. Lourdes Mother Church. The feast is celebrated on September 8 with a 10-day celebration beginning around August 30.
