Brief History:
A small chapel dedicated to Saint Joseph’s Mother was originally constructed in Thadankulam approximately 120 years ago under Palayamkottai parish jurisdiction. Following the establishment of the Tuticorin Diocese in 1923, it became a mission church under Seidunganallur Parish. The new church was constructed in 1954 and dedicated to the World Savior. The parish currently serves 55 Catholic families, with 15 residing in the village and over 40 scattered in other regions. The church grounds reportedly contain a neem tree with traditional healing significance that is revered by local devotees.
