Brief History:
Originally functioning as a mission chapel under Kallikulam Parish, Duraigudiruppu was elevated to an independent parish on June 26, 1973. The Holy Rosary Mother Church was consecrated in 1927, serving the local Catholic community. The parish has grown significantly, establishing educational institutions and supporting facilities for spiritual development and community welfare. The parish now serves 350 families and maintains the affiliated St. Anthony Church, Muthunader Settlement. The main parish feast is celebrated annually on October 7 in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary.
