Brief History:

St. George Church was consecrated in 1997 by Rev. Fr. Mariathas through the dedicated efforts of Christian youth and the generous support of local benefactors. As the Catholic community continued to grow, the chapel underwent significant expansion during the tenure of Rev. Fr. M. John Britto. The enlarged church was re-consecrated on August 14, 2020, by Bishop A. Stephen of the Tuticorin Diocese. Dedicated to St. George, the church serves as a place of prayer for both local parishioners and travelers. The annual parish feast is celebrated over ten days during the month of May.
