Brief History:
Several families seeking livelihoods came to this forested region and settled. A man on a white horse appeared and tethered it to an acacia tree; locals recognized this as St. George, establishing devotion to the saint. Later, shepherds witnessed a cross-shaped light in a mountain cave, which became known as Kurisumala (Cross Mountain), the sacred shrine of St. Thomas. These two apparitions gave rise to two churches in the same village, and the parish now serves 180 families with the feast celebrated from June 24 to July 3 each year.
