Brief History:

Champavat is a new district in Uttaranchal State, which lies in between Pithoragarh and Tanakpur. It is a beautiful hill station on the Himalayan Mountains. Bishop’s dream to reach out to Champavat has been fulfilled by the arrival of CMI Fathers to Champavat district in the year 2003. Fr. Binoj was the first resident priest to land on Champavat to do the pioneering work. A piece of land has been purchased by the CMI Fathers to carry on the missionary work on the hills.
