Brief History:

Faridpur is a Tahsil in Bareilly District on the National High way to Lucknow, twenty kilometers away from bareilly city towards Shahjahanpur. A plot of land was purchased in 2002. Though there is already Christian presence, Bishop Anthony Fernandes wanted to establish a Catholic Mission to carry on the evangelizing activity in the rural area. Bon Secours sisters from Thamil Nadu arrived on 1st July 2006, who are already working in Bihar. At present they are staying in a rented house and visiting the surrounding villages. Fr. Dheenbhandu belongs to the Indian Missionary Society, Delhi Province is the first resident priest appointed in July 2007.
