About St. Peter’s Church, Basaha
St. Peter’s Church, Basaha, was established in 2007 and was originally part of the Leela parish community. The mission is currently under the pastoral care of Fr. Paul Hansdak, who serves as the Parish Priest and Headmaster.
The mission work in Basaha was strengthened with the arrival of four SMI Sisters from Leela on May 15, 2003. Their service has contributed to the spiritual and social development of the local community.
The church serves around 500 Catholics spread across 18 villages. Located approximately 80 km from Bhagalpur, St. Peter’s Church continues to support the faith community through pastoral activities and missionary service.
