Brief History:

In 1980, Mrs Susai Mary Thomas w/o Mr JC Thomas of St Andrew’s Parish, Vepery, donated eight grounds of vacant land to the Archdiocese for the Catholics of Devi Nagar. This place is between Avadi and Ambattur. For some years, it was under the aegis of the parish of Avadi. The people used to go to St Antony’s and St Joseph’s, Ambattur. During 1986 ‘ 1992, Fr TS Kurian, the then Parish Priest of HVF Avadi developed the land and constructed a multipurpose hall. On 28th January 1996, Most Rev Dr Arul Das James, blessed and permitted to utilise the Hall for Sunday Mass. This parish was dedicated to Infant Jesus. This was erected as a separate parish on 29th June 2000 and the first Parish.

Sunday Mass – Timings/Language : 6.45 am & 9.00 am (Sub-station) – Tamil.
