Brief History:

In the year 2000, the Priests of the Sacred Heart Seminary, Poonamallee took charge of the pastoral needs of the laity in Pazhanjur. As the Catholic population increased, a bigger Church was needed. With the support of the Seminary Fathers and the contributions from the Laity a new Church was built in honour of St Joseph by Fr SJ Anthony Swamy and Fr KJ Francis. In 2005 it became a separate parish with Fr Joe Andrew as its first Parish Priest.
