Brief History:

Bifurcated from Nagalapuram, Kottur became a parish with 7 substations on the 30th of June 2000. Fr. Mark Stephen S.J. was made the first parish priest. It was once again bifurcated to make Vembur as an independent parish. Now Kottur has 4 substations.
