Brief History:

St. Anthony’s Church, Vizhunthaiyampalm, emerged from missionary efforts in the 1950s. The congregation constructed successive structures from palm leaf to tiled roofs, and the church was formally consecrated on January 24, 1957. The parish achieved independent status on November 13, 1984, leading to construction of the current main church, consecrated in 2004. The parish serves approximately 300 families across 12 associations, and the annual feast is celebrated in early January over ten days.
