Brief History:
Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Virikode, traces its origins to the 1930s when ICM Sisters and missionary workers arrived in the region and established the foundations of the Gospel. The community initially worshipped in a palm-thatched structure before erecting a permanent church consecrated on November 16, 1938. Through the dedicated efforts of Fr. Jegan Bose and the local faithful, a new church building was constructed with the foundation stone laid on December 10, 2011, and consecrated on May 28, 2014. The parish serves approximately 182 families.
