Brief History:
St. Michael the Archangel Church, Parutthiyaraittottam, traces its community roots to around 1930 when approximately twenty families established a prayer chapel. The parish priest from Kalcurishi conducted the first Mass in 1973, followed by the foundation stone laid in 1975 by Fr. Gnanaprakasam. Through congregational donations, construction was completed and the church was formally dedicated in 1978, continuing as a branch parish of St. Susaiappar Church, Kalcurishi, and serves approximately 80 families.
