Brief History:

This parish originated as a satellite congregation of the mother church in Varathai around sixty years ago. When travel became difficult for residents in monsoon seasons, the local community requested their own place of worship. Fr. Joseph, a native son ordained as a priest, worked with parishioners to establish this church, initially as a palm-thatched structure in 1965, later reconstructing it in brick and mortar by 1988. The parish now serves 78 families.
