Brief History:

This congregation originated approximately three centuries ago when Christian families settled in the Upper Alanvilai region. Lacking road access initially, residents established a wayside shrine with a stone cross where they gathered for evening rosary prayers. In 2000, the diocesan leadership granted authorisation to transfer the property to the bishop residence, enabling expansion efforts. The modest chapel was constructed between 2008-2010 and consecrated on June 15, 2010 by Bishop Peter Remigius, with Sunday liturgies subsequently implemented. The church serves 66 families.
