Brief History:

This parish originated as a branch of Palliadi Parish until 1984. European missionary Rev. Peter Thomas OCD established a primary school in 1933 to serve the predominantly non-Christian population. Through evangelical efforts, many residents converted to Christianity. The community constructed a modest chapel, the foundation stone for which was laid July 2, 1963, and the church was consecrated August 29, 1965. The parish was formally established as an independent parish in October 1984, now serving approximately 172 families.
