Brief History:

Originally, twelve Catholic families settled in Vazhavallen village and worshipped at a small cross shrine. As the population increased, the community relocated to Athisayapuram and established Saint Thomas Church, where they continue to reside and worship today. The church serves as a branch parish under Saint Susai Church, Eral, and currently ministers to 110 families across 4 small Christian communities. The parish feast is celebrated over ten days from December 12 to 21 each year.
