Brief History:

Established in 1956 in a poor neighborhood to support Catholic Christian families in faith and devotion. The initial crucifix was replaced by a stone-walled, tiled structure in 1969 as the congregation grew to 52 families. A bell and Stations of the Cross were added in 1990. The church was reconstructed and consecrated on February 28, 2013, by Archbishop Peter Fernando with diocesan and community support. The church serves 45 families as a branch of the Sorrowful Mother Basilica, Kizhavassal, Madurai. The feast of Our Lady of Fatima is celebrated on one day in May.
