Brief History:
The parish originated when Christian residents from Elathakiri migrated to Sundampatty pursuing agricultural work. The church was established through efforts spanning decades. Fr. Joachim developed the current structure (1972-1980), resulting in an attractive church dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua. The church was consecrated on January 16, 1979. The facility underwent major expansion in 2015, with Bishop Lawrence Pius consecrating the renovated structure. The community has grown to approximately 194 families. The feast is celebrated on the second or third Sunday in June.
