Brief History:

Christian faith in this community began in the 19th century in a palm-leaf hut and continues under protection of the Holy Mother and St. Michael. The church was constructed in 1898 at a cost of 8,000 rupees. Originally part of Kamanaickanpatti parish, the sanctuary became independent on June 6, 2010, and serves as a spiritual refuge for believers. The settlement features three distinctive crosses honoring Saints Therese, Xavier, and Sebastian. A miraculous well exists on the premises. The church serves 306 families (240 in main parish, 66 in branch parishes). The feast is celebrated on September 30 (St. Michael Archangel) and during the Ascension season (40 days after Easter).
