Brief History:

Holy Health Mother Church in Coonoor was established in 1867 on land donated by Mr. Redmond. The church grew from local devotion into a significant pilgrimage site drawing faithful from across the region. The current church building was consecrated on September 4, 2004, following a foundation stone ceremony on April 12, 2002. The parish serves approximately 600 families and 34 religious communities. The solemn parish festival is celebrated on the second Sunday of September each year with a nine-day novena beginning the first Friday of September.
