Brief History:

St. Anthony’s Church at Velayuthampalaiyam was established in 2003 and initially functioned as a branch parish under Karur Saint Child Theresa Church before being elevated to independent parish status in 2010. It is located approximately 1 kilometer from the Karur-Salem National Highway. The parish is now a branch parish under Christ the King Church, TNPL. The church serves 66 families and 9 mission stations. Special Tuesday masses at 11:00 AM are followed by Eucharistic processions that attract devotees from surrounding villages. The feast of St. Anthony is celebrated in August.
