St. Mary Magdalene Church

Kollappatti, Dharmapuri District, Tamil Nadu.
Parish Priest – Rev. Fr. M. George.

Brief History:

Many years ago, the village residents suffered from a severe illness. The statue of Saint Mary Magdalene was brought to the locality for intercession, and following the saint’s arrival, the people received relief from their affliction. Since then, Saint Mary Magdalene has served as the village’s patroness. The original ancient church was demolished in 2000, and a new structure was constructed and consecrated on July 22, 2002, by Bishop Anthony Arul Raj. The church serves 190 families and is a branch under Miraculous Child Jesus Church, Selliampatty, approximately 8 km from Dharmapuri. The feast is celebrated on July 22 with a 9-day novena and 3-day festival.
