Brief History:

The church was established approximately 250 years ago when Catholic Christians settled here after migrating from the Kaveri River region due to natural disasters. A small chapel was built in 1802, followed by significant expansion in 1905. The current church structure was consecrated on June 25, 1980, with a 110-foot bell tower completed in 1999. Major renovations were completed in 2013 and 2016. The church is renowned for the shadow touching of Saint Peter’s statue, drawing pilgrims seeking healing. The parish serves 650+ families. The feast is celebrated June 28-29 with a novena period June 19-27.
